Holidays are an important part of culture and daily life. Idul Adha is one of the two most important Islamic holidays.

The start of the celebration usually begins at a local mosque.

Idul Adha is a celebration that focuses on Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son. They believe this son was Ishmael. Today people sacrifice sheep and cows.

Members of a neighborhood gather together to watch the sacrifice.

After the sacrifice, men butcher the animal(s) and divide the meat among the members of the neighborhood.

During Idul Adha it is common to see the butchering process take place along side the roads and throughout the community.
